They have&hellip;<\/p>\n<p>A list of links related to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.s-gabriel.org\/names\/scandinavian.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scandinavian Names<\/a>, including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ellipsis.cx\/~liana\/names\/norse\/sg-viking.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A Simple Guide to Creating Old Norse Names<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It appears that Sigrdrifa is more a title than a name itself.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sigrdr%C3%ADfum%C3%A1l\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wikipedia<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The name\u00a0<em>Sigrdr\u00edfa<\/em>\u00a0means &ldquo;victory-urger&rdquo; or &ldquo;inciter to victory&rdquo;,<sup class=\"reference\" id=\"cite_ref-ORCHARD194_2-0\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sigrdr%C3%ADfum%C3%A1l#cite_note-ORCHARD194-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">[2]<\/a><\/sup><sup class=\"reference\" id=\"cite_ref-SIMEK284_3-0\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sigrdr%C3%ADfum%C3%A1l#cite_note-SIMEK284-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">[3]<\/a><\/sup>) and is in an epithet of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Valkyrie\" title=\"Valkyrie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">valkyrie<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Brynhildr\" title=\"Brynhildr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brynhildr<\/a>. It occurs in\u00a0<a class=\"mw-redirect\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fafnismal\" title=\"Fafnismal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fafnismal<\/a>\u00a0(stanza 44), and the prose following stanza 4 of the Sigrdrifumal glosses it as the valkyrie&rsquo;s name.
