I was talking with one of my Wards (she\u2019s almost 16) about an event we were going to today and this happened.<\/p>\n

And now I think she wants to research period make-up. So that\u2019s a win.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nAnother paper, similar to the one on Roman cosmetics, but on Tang Dynasty makeup and styling.<\/p>\n

Stefan\u2019s Florilegium<\/a> has a couple of articles on period cosmetics and perfumes, which I can\u2019t seem to link directly to – but just do a search there for \u201ccosmetics\u201d and you\u2019ll be happy.<\/p>\n

Be wary of the \u201cEncyclopedia of Cosmetics\u201d type books, because if they do talk about SCA period, it\u2019s super quick and tend to not be cited well. And if you\u2019re looking at non-western European makeup\u2026yeah.<\/p>\n
